Ten Killed in Delhi Clashes Over Indian Citizenship Law

NEW DELHI—At least 10 people have died and dozens have been injured in India’s capital amid clashes between protesters and supporters of a controversial new law that opened a fast-track to citizenship for immigrants of all major religions except Islam from several countries surrounding India.

The confrontations, which began on Sunday, intensified Monday and continued through Tuesday in some areas, are the latest episode of violence associated with the law, which has sparked a series of protests since it was enacted in December.
